As she's wrapping up a case, Kitsune stumbles upon a young man around her age being hanged to death in his own yard. Acting quick, she uses one of her many skills to save him. Once he's regained his breath -and composure due to shock- Kitsune takes him home. The man, known as Jesse, now finds himself adapting to a world he knew little to nothing about. He won't be alone though, as he has Kitsune and her older brother, Tyke, right there to help him out. He gains all sorts of new experiences... Including his first love. After a certain case involving a well, Jesse and Kitsune find a young fox girl close by. Deciding it'd be best to take her in, the young fox girl, Tessa, becomes a Chastiser in training alongside them. From there, they investigate a few other cases... All the while, Tessa has a secret of her own- one that is much more welcome than the secrets of the forest. While lost in the woods, Jesse Thornhart, an experimentally created vampire, stumbles across a woman who lives in a large mansion... In the middle of the woods. Of course, given the rain, he had no choice but to take refuge in her house for the time being. However, it doesn't take long to realize she's more than what she seems. Her cat can speak English. She's friends with a werewolf. She has an eldritch forest being for a Butler. And she's strangely excellent with weapons. What more could she be hiding?

Kitsune Reine Queen- infamous for her beauty and sweet personality. She could have anyone she wanted it seemed, and a lot of men wanted her in return. She had countless options. And yet, she chose a quiet former surgeon who's terrible at small talk. While at the bar, she meets Jesse J. Thornhart, a former surgeon with his own secrets. Deciding to take her chances, Kitsune ends up taking an interest in him. He seems to be different! How will their relationship play out? And why does Jesse seem so... Secretive? (Spoilers ahead for A Hollow Harvest and the other games in Michaela Thisten's series.) Jesse 'James' Thornhart- one of the best surgeons in the city's hospital. He was known for his slightly awkward demeanor, but nonetheless friendly attitude. Another thing he was known for, unbeknownst to him, was the way he looked at Kitsune Reine- a nurse in the Post-Operation Care unit. She was a cheerful young thing, though a little self-conscious sometimes. He was willing to do anything to impress her- no matter how shady. And as it would turn out... Those shady things had consequences. Consequences that he had no way of predicting. Consequences that would flip everything he knew on its head. ...And those consequences would drag her down with him.

Kitsune Reine Queen- a former assassin that became a Chastiser has a unique trait. She has the ability to see auras. With a simple blink, she can see the auras of any nearby demons or people. One evening, she and another Chastiser, Jesse Thornhart, meet at the same village. By sheer coincidence, they were both called there to deal with the disappearances. As they work together, Kitsune notices Jesse's aura. And it shows... quite a few interesting colors. Dark red, black, and gray... Bloodshed, murder, and trauma. Now, this begs the questions... What happened to him, and what is he hiding?

During what is possibly his longest case yet, Jesse J. Thornhart attempts to solve the three mysteries surrounding a small village in the middle of a forest. While there, he notices Kitsune- a young woman that keeps the morale of the village up. Despite the fact that she seems so unassuming, one of the mysteries he has to uncover revolves around her. He realizes, during his time in that village, that Kitsune is so much more than what she seems- yet no one can ever give her a straight answer as to why. Not even she knows what this reason is. He also realizes that, deep inside himself, there are emotions he never expected to have. (Jesse Thornhart belongs to Michaela Thisten)

After booking an appointment with a therapist -by the suggestion of his adopted daughter, Alice- Jesse Thornhart becomes curious about said therapist. A young woman, by the name of Kitsune Reine Queen, is a sweet as candy therapist with a shady past. Will Jesse be able to uncover it? And what is his other daughter, Carrie, planning? (Jesse, Carrie, and Alice belong to Michaela Thisten)

(Changing the ship a lil) Dr. Jesse Thornhart, a former surgeon with a shady past, meets Kitsune- a two-tailed fox woman who has the ability to see ghosts. Intrigued, he decides to take her under his wing and offers her to become his apprentice/assistant. Not too long after she accepts, they go on their first official mission together. During this mission, and the ones after, Jesse realizes that his intrigue might be something... More. (Jesse Thornhart belongs to Michaela Thisten.
