You get sent to another universe and don't remember anything, except your age, some sort of riddle that you don't even remember all of, and the whereabouts of the high school you're going to, and the name of the school. (pk academy, obviously) Saiki can't read your mind so he's obviously intrigued, he knows that you're not as stupid as Nendou, so there's got to be something to read, right? But for some reason he just, can't, the only way to find out what you are is to figure out from you directly instead of just reading your mind. On top of him not being able to read your mind, there's something off about you, which intrigues him even more.
