Not a trainer, not even an occupation related to Uma Musume. Yet somehow, Muryou Kuraudo finds himself closely affiliated with multiple of them. Whether it be in the form of comforting them, cooking them food, treating their small injuries, helping them study or just keeping them company. Quickly, the girls get more and more attached to Muryou. Meanwhile, Muryou himself is completely oblivious to their feelings, he doesn't notice even the most obvious moves. He's too busy being sleepy, lazing around and coasting through life like a drifting cloud. Oguri Cap: "Muryou, the teacher gave me extra work because I wasn't paying attention in class again. Can you help me understand this? Also, can you cook me more food? I really liked the Beef Welt Yang." Muryou: "It's Beef Wellington." Symboli Rudolf: "Muryou, would you like to be the one to hand me the 'Dream Trophy Umamusume Of The Year' Award? If the URA won't accept you, then I'll just have to threaten them saying that I will leave the School and Racing altogether." Muryou: " ? ? ? " Maruzensky: "Muryou! Let's have a nice, smooth and relaxing ride at the beach road while admiring the sunset again! Ever since I met you, I've started to appreciate slow driving." Muryou: "I think you're just getting old." Watch as Muryou navigates through social challenges in this not-so-epic slice-of-life fanfic. (Comments are encouraged, I'll try to reply to each one of them. Be sure to tell me about any mistakes or critiques aswell!) [Btw credits to Saturn Illustrations on instagram for the story cover.]

Y/N L/N, a brand new trainer at Tracen Academy and a long-term fan of Uma Racing, is given the opportunity to create a team and a name for himself. Among those at the academy, Mejiro McQueen is one of the few to be taken under Y/N's wing, which results in more than just training. With a new goal and job, Y/N is expected to produce results. Can he live up to the expectations of the Mejiro family? Or will he fall short, his newfound career ending early? ------ This is going to be my first attempt at writing something non-cringeworthy in years. I hope this book is what some of you fellow McQueen fans have been looking for. Feel free to give any feedback, much appreciated! Also, I will not be following the anime plot line too strictly, however I do intend to follow it loosely for sake of moving the plot along smoothly along with some McQueen time in there. Ten years after the age of legends, the world of racing has moved on-at least on the surface. In 2030, victories are measured by data, legacies are dissected by media, and expectations are placed long before a runner ever steps onto the track. The past still exists, but it no longer inspires hope-only comparison. Y/N Kei is a trainer with no history, no known background, and no ties to the racing world. He appears quietly, registers legally, and takes charge of a small, fractured roster-some burdened by family expectations, others completely free of them. Among them are siblings born from a name the world refuses to forget, and others who run simply because they want to.

"If I stop chasing victory, I don't simply lose the race-I lose the marrow of my being. To relinquish the pursuit is to admit that every wound, every sleepless night, every drop of sweat was meaningless. And I would sooner bleed myself dry in the arena than live as a monument to wasted effort."

"The world is always wrong." After surviving high school with my cynical wit and a complete lack of romantic progress, I-Hikigaya Hachiman was ready to live a peaceful, uneventful life. No youth, no drama, no forced social interaction. That dream came to a crashing halt when I somehow woke up in a world where horse girls-yes, literal girls with horse ears and tails-race professionally while chasing their dreams. And apparently... I'm now their trainer. Me. The guy whose idea of teamwork is "doing everything myself to avoid dealing with people." Special Week smiles at me like I'm her hero. Tokai Teio asks for advice like I have wisdom. Mejiro McQueen demands a training plan like I know what I'm doing. Spoiler: I don't. But every race pulls me deeper. Every tear, every laugh, every finish line crossed... I start to understand these girls. Maybe... just maybe... This world isn't as wrong as I thought. A loner, a realist, and a former Service Club ghost becomes the heart of a new team. This is the story of how I, Hikigaya Hachiman, became the most reluctant-and possibly the most effective-Uma Musume trainer this world has ever seen.

Being a Trainer at Tracen Academy was supposed to be a chill, quiet job. But when you're Y/N-a caffeine-fueled, chaos-loving, ultra-laidback dude with zero filter and way too much energy-you somehow become the biggest storm to ever hit the racetrack. Assigned to the underdog team Starhoof, a wild mix of misunderstood, quirky, and overly competitive Uma Musume, Y/N is determined to help them rise to glory... if he doesn't get fired first for riding a cardboard horse down the hallway or accidentally calling Gold Ship "Goofy Ship" in front of the media. Between dealing with rival trainers, late-night training shenanigans, heartfelt pep talks under the stars, and horse girls maybe catching feelings-Y/N's about to find out that sometimes, you don't chase dreams. You race toward them. And in his case? Probably while yelling "YEEHAW!" in a bathrobe.
