Thirteen-year-old Elias is haunted by nightmarish hallucinations after the death of his older brother. But when he looks through the eyeholes of an old cardboard box, the world shifts into something dreamlike, or liminal. Distorted, still illusory, but kinder. Safer. At his side is Hugo, his strange but loyal friend who urges him to face his fears rather than flee from them. The box keeps Elias grounded. So does Hugo. At least... that's what he believes. As reality starts to blur Elias must decide what's real and what's imagined, and what he's willing to hold onto. A Psychological/Body Horror Novella.
