20 years on earth. it's been 20 years since the portal broke down and Luz and her friends were trapped back on earth never knowing what happened back on the boiling isles. 20 years since the kids lost their childhood families. Edalyn Nocheda-Blight is just a normal 14 year old girl. She loves logic, science, math, and anything that could be explained within reasonability. then one day something unusual happens, the one thing that in her mind could never be truly be explained. She. Did. Magic. Edalyn's best and basically only friend, Charlie, was quite the opposite. He adored the mere thought of super powers being real, and even more so hearing origin stories of his favorite characters. He had always wished to maybe someday have one of his own. Daydreaming how he could save so many lives and fight all of the bad guys he could ever want. (always winning of course.) Then one day he gets a late night text from his best friend.
