17-year-old Nona has autism and is bullied at school for it. She has no friends besides her older sister, Andie which really doesn't count because she is a sibling. One day, she gets asked to go to a party by the most popular guy in school and she thinks her luck has changed, only to find out that it is a prank. As she is walking home in tears, a guy named Lucas who doesn't go to her school, walks her home feeling bad for her. What starts as an unlikely friendship, turns into something more.
