Amy Jay goes throughout her eighth grade year as the nice, sensitive, smart and talented girl that had the perfect boyfriend, perfect grades, and it seemed as though she had the perfect family. But as her boyfriend tells her that she is too klingy and goody-two-shoes, everything starts falling apart. Her parents get divorced and due to certain circumstances, she decides to live with her mother who moves out of town. After 3 years go by in Washington D.C.
