Her powers of controlling the 5 elements earth, air, water, fire, and ice were controlled by her emotions and unstable so she got booted away to an island where she stayed for 16 years in isolation. She couldn't leave and also couldn't age. Alone as all of her siblings forgot about her. Only being able to finally leave when her horrible excuse of a father died.
