Cecilia Benson is reserved, introverted and prefers to stay in her own world, as she always finds it difficult to make and maintain social contacts. Therefore, she prefers to devote herself to her life as a successful author and due to certain circumstances she decides to move to London England, her father's home. There she wants to pursue her passion, the writing of her books, which she always publishes under a pseudonym, in order to finally be able to lead a quiet life. But fate has other plans when she meets a handsome man in various and awkward situations who turns out to be her neighbour.
