However, an unexpected wave of nostalgia hits him as he's unpacking his belongings. This drives Sunny to impulsively do the unforeseen. Reaching out to Basil. Will this decision withdraw him from the amount of mental progress he has made throughout the years? Or will he be met with comfort and closure.. maybe even accumulating romantic feelings he has yet to find out for himself. - Basically a book about two traumatized boys in the process of healing and finding comfort in one another. Yes they are in therapy, and yes they are in love. Also, there will be Kel, Hero and Aubrey involved too.

Basil woke up, ready to finally confess the truth to his friends, but found that Sunny had beaten him to the punch. He hoped that they could finally be happy again, at which point Sunny dropped off the face of the earth and left Basil to handle the fallout and future. A post-canon Basil-centric Sunflower fic meant to explore Basil's dynamic with the other characters, how he handles his own many, many issues, and, upon Sunny's return, how they sort out their collective issues.
