Katsuki and Izuku have known each other their entire lives. They've been together for a long time, and after getting permission from both of their parents they mated on Izuku's thirteenth birthday. Izuku is quite famous for his acting and singing abilities. When he gets an invitation to go to America to film a movie with a very famous company it's surprising that it takes some convincing to get him to go. But finally he agrees, and then before the summer is over he leaves. Now Katsuki has to survive an entire year, at UA, without his mate. It's going to be hell.

Second Genders weren't really that big of a deal. With quirks providing as much trouble as it did help, people didn't really have time to care or discriminate people based off of these second genders. Alpha, Beta, Omega. Everyone still acted the same, they were all human beings, after all. Though, Izuku Midoriya always thought of second genders in a certain way.
