This is a love story with a crossdressing/transgender element. It starts a bit grim or perhaps with dark humour, but as it moves along there is light and eventually discovery . . . and things end well.

A longish short story that follows the lives of two young people through a formative period that ultimately defines who they are. Good times and bad times, and a happy ending.
