After the events of escaping the mountain where they lost Hannah and her sister, Beth, the group of friends had left Josh on the mountain. Chris can't bear the thought of leaving his best friend up on that wretched mountain. Chris knew he was still alive, and a feeling that he had felt before when he was around Josh began to intensify as his thoughts of him being left on that mountain made him react. He was going back to the mountain.

Chris has been having dreams about the Washingtons for months... especially Joshua. He's convinced that he's still somewhere in the mines; alive, starving, and turning into one of those... monsters. Will he find him? If so, will he be the same as Chris remembers?
