But then he came up with an idea: He asked her to write down seven things, she always wanted to do but simply couldn't and Lisbon complied. As Jane walked abandoned on the empty streets of Sacramento, he thought about the woman he loved, admired and wanted to share the rest of his life with. One problem; Lisbon was getting more serious with Marcus Pike, her current boyfriend. He walked over to the restaurant Pike and Lisbon were dining to confess his love to her and nobody would stand in his way, well.. except for Marcus Pike. But he didn't care anymore. He was done with everything, his pain, the stabbing feeling of bitterness he'd felt everyday of his life. Yes, Patrick Jane was done.
