Until much after, being then introduced to a young mortal girl, Yin Qi, who was in the beginning stages of the education of Sun Wukong's very first master; with Subodhi being her teacher. Macaque in the very beginning had been very dismissive toward her. As he had thought that she didn't know anything. Yin had been from a far, far away world beyond the new one she has entered. Slowly as time goes by, Macaque realizes there was more to this girl than he has ever thought possible. Yin Qi was someone of dire importance, and he had to protect her. Without bruising his own ego of loving his shadow theatrics and the drama on his way to do such a thing under the request of the Buddha. But little did he know that even the Monkey King himself has a thing for her alongside his own feelings.
