He wanted to be seen for who he was. He was Wilbur goddamn Minecraft, and he refused to let himself be a side note in someone else's story. Villains had one right; the right to choose a nemesis. A thesis to their anti-thesis. A rival. His subordinates always questioned why he chose Magpie. He never bothered to explain. He had met the hero once, and that was all it took.
