It all started when Henry Emily and William Afton started Freddy & Friends in '73. 10 years later in 1983 Y/n's younger sister, Charlotte Emily, "mysteriously" died. Y/n and Michael bonded over the death of their siblings. Y/n doesn't want to have anything to do with the Freddy Franchise that her and Michaels dad made, but she's still witnessing every traumatic thing within this franchise, even up to Michaels death.

Needless to say, 18 year-old Michael Afton often found himself getting into all sorts of trouble. Though he takes it too far on his brother's birthday in 1983. William has finally had enough: someone needs to keep an eye on his brats while he focuses on work. There just so happens to be a new face in Hurricane, Utah, and they're looking for a job.
