The Grid
Precious-Echo
This world, this thing called society has always been a little ... Deranged. Of course since the invention of The Grid, things have become relatively peaceful. Data from all over the world has now been uploaded, from a small fern, to a firearm, and of course the data or lives of people. Crime rates have gone down, way down. Our ancestors may have classified this new system as a violation of privacy. But not those who run The Grid today, and the citizens certainly don't mind. They're happy about being monitored 24/7 and who wouldn't be if anything and everything you'd ever need could be delivered in literally the blink of an eye? Everything and everyone is connected to The Grid. Everything but me. I am the bug in the system, the glitch, error. I can use the system the way the programmers do, but they can't find me. They can't monitor me.
How do you hide from the world? From machines that can scan your DNA? You don't. You blend in... You go dark.
