Steve sighs. ☂︎ Steve Harrington does not like Billy Hargrove. He won't like Billy Hargrove. He. Can't. Like. Billy. Hargrove. Billy Hargrove can't figure out Steve Harrington. What happened to him? Why can't Billy stop thinking about him? Steve just wants to forget everything that happened that November. He wants to have fun, maybe find friends his age and be a teenager. The nightmares he's been plagued with are making that difficult. His massive house, that he lives in alone is his least favorite place to be. Maybe he just hates being alone. Add his newfound attraction to a particular curly-haired blonde boy to that mix and Steve has problems. At the same time Billy struggles with his home life, his twisted romantic life and keeping school balanced he's also trying to wrap his head around what it means to be gay. In the 80s. He may try to avoid thinking about it, but no matter what he does his mind always comes back to sexuality. With one boy looking for comfort and protection and the other looking for answers, they might just find what they need in each other. "Simmons." Billy starts, as if he's purposely trying to get a reaction from Steve. "What'd he say?" is what comes out of his mouth. There's a sharp edge to it, like Billy already knows the answer. Steve crosses his arms. "What's it to you?" Billy exhales, blowing out some of the smoke into the air as he laughs. "Choosing the hard way, Harrington? So be it." he sucks the cigarette one last time, then drops it to the floor to stomp it out. "There's a rumor, pretty boy. That Simmons had enough of your shit and kicked you out of the team." Steve shrugs. "Good thing it's a rumor then, huh?" he deflects. Unfortunately, Billy doesn't seem convinced. "Oh, that one isn't, Harrington. But there's another part to it that I left out." Steve freezes up. "You can join the team again, but you have to suck up to me, correct?" ~~~~ In his senior year of high school, Steve is temporarily kicked from the basketball team because of the fights he and Billy Hargrove constantly have. Steve's coach, John Simmons, won't allow him to play unless he becomes the Billy's team member. So, Steve must swallow whatever hatred he has for Billy and begin to build a friendly relationship with him. However. What happens when Billy finds out about this condition? Will he take advantage of the upper hand he has over Steve? (A Harringrove story that takes place after Season 2, but before Season 3).
