Emma always liked Norman as a friend. Until she found out that every time she was near him, or he was in her presence she'd always blush or stutter. And Mom's noticed it too. She'd get a few laughs here and there. But nothing would replace the energetic Emma everyone knows at home. Norman liked Emma ever since he could remember. But couldn't find a way to tell her. He wanted to say something before he or she got shipped out. And knowing what's beyond the gate, he wants to escape with her and Ray. He wants all of them to live, along with the rest of his family. Emma and Norman get closer and closer, but Emma still can't understand the feeling she gets around him. Ray puts the pieces together and tries to help Emma out a bit and Norman.

Norman, Emma, and Ray are going to the Cherry Blossom Festival together. Norman has had a crush on Emma for a while now and wants to confess but can't because he is afraid of rejection.
