Norman Hewitt, a New York City rapist, was acquitted of his charges due to lack of evidence. Detective Olivia Benson is granted to work with LAPD temporarily on the case. She takes along Alexandra Cabot, a young ADA. While on their "trip", the women are forced to confront feelings they've denied for over a decade.

When the two women are kidnapped outside of a bar, hope drains fast when hours taken turns into days.
