This is the first three chapters and a few other previews of my soon to be published book, Lilly. (10th December, 2012) Though I can only make the preview available here, I've managed to wrangle my publisher into letting me put the entire book up on www.shaknaisrael.com. So, if you like this, head on over and see if Lilly lives up to your expectations. Blurb: Enlil and Lillitu fought together at the very beginning, and their daughter Ardet-lili became their blessing, and their curse. Since her birth the three have been hunted by Senoy, Sansenoy and Semangelof, the three medicinal angels, but the war is nearing it's climax, and Lilly will have to decide if she cares enough to protect humanity from the coming storm, or whether they are just cattle for her unquenchable blood-lust. First Vampire, Queen of Darkness, She is Rising.

Emma was born into poverty of the worst kind, an abusive father, never enough to eat, and no hope of a better tomorrow. She lived in a land of make-believe, where disappointment and reality were not allowed. Everything was about to change for Emma, and this time, making believe was not allowed. Her dreams were dashed at every turn, and she felt betrayed by everyone, even God, she thought, was even looking away. She would come to the realization that her only escape lied in her ability to overcome life’s challenges and peruse her dreams on her own. She had been dealt a losing hand and somehow her two deuces would have to take a king high straight. It wasn’t all bluff; she had plenty to offer, but the odds were stacked against her, and it would be an up-hill battle, but a battle she knew she could win.
