"Why do you do this to yourself? You have everything: a father who loves you, friends, money, activities. I want to know why you threw it all away." Why? You want to know why? Step into a tanning booth and fry yourself for two or three days. After your skin bubbles and peels off, roll in coarse salt, then pull on long underwear woven from spun glass and razor wire. Over that goes your regular clothes, as long as they're tight. Smoke gunpowder and go to school to jump through hoops, sit up and beg, and roll over on command. Listen to the whispers that curl into your head at night, calling you ugly and fat and stupid and bitch and whore and worst of all "a disappointment." Puke and starve and cut and drink because you don't want to feel any of this. Puke and starve and cut and drink because you need an anesthetic and it works. For a while. But then the anesthetic turns into poison and by then it's too late because you're mainlining it now, straight into your soul. It is rotting you and you can't stop. Look in the mirror and find a ghost. hear every heartbeat scream that everysinglething is wrong with you. "Why?" is the wrong question. Ask "Why not?" **TRIGGER WARNING** This story contains the main character self harming herself, starving herself/anorexia, blood, depression, and dark thoughts.

His back muscles flex every time he flips another fluffy pancake. "Come here darling" He says, somehow not having to even turn around to know it's me. I happily walk over to him, standing behind him so that I can run my hands along his toned back. I hear the sound of the oven turning off before he turns to face me. Elias buries his head into my neck to leave small kisses while his arms wrap around my waist. As I'm enjoying the peaceful embrace of Elias and his mouth on my skin, the unexpected, cold, harsh slap to my ass has me inhaling sharply and wincing into Elias' shoulder. "Ares!" Elias sharply scolds the now chuckling man behind me. "Sorry baby" Ares whispers in my ear as he rubs the now sore spot he slapped. I turn my head so I can sneak a quick kiss from him which he happily accepts, deepening it a little before pulling away and snatching a pancake off the pan which earns a few curses from Elias. Ares let's me have a bite first before running off so Elias doesn't beat his ass. "They're so good love" I tell him before giving him a kiss, gaining his attention again. β₯ "𝐼 π‘™π‘–π‘˜π‘’ 𝑖𝑑 π‘€β„Žπ‘’π‘› π‘¦π‘œπ‘’ π‘ π‘šπ‘–π‘™π‘’, 𝑏𝑒𝑑 𝐼 π‘™π‘œπ‘£π‘’ 𝑖𝑑 π‘€β„Žπ‘’π‘› 𝐼'π‘š π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘Žπ‘ π‘œπ‘›" - - - - - This book contains light bdsm and heavy smut, it's also fast-paced so don't say anything about stuff happening too fast cause I warned you and I don't care <3

Heather lives her life with one purpose: to make her father proud. She's a straight-A student, obedient, respectful, and determined never to disappoint him. Her father has only one rule: no dating in school. But everything changes when she falls in love and gets caught. Her father's reaction is swift and brutal. The man she once admired becomes unrecognizable-controlling, angry, and even physically abusive. Confused and devastated, she can't understand why he treats her so cruelly, especially when her older sister, now in college, never saw this side of him. When her father announces he's marrying a lawyer from his firm, she hopes for change. Instead, things only spiral further. The abuse intensifies, and the emotional wounds deepen as he begins to blame her for her mother's death. In a desperate search for love, truth, and freedom, she uncovers painful secrets buried within her family-realizing her entire life has been built on lies. By the time she pieces everything together, it's too late. What she wanted was simple: happiness, love, and her father's acceptance. What she gets is betrayal, loss, and a shattering truth that will haunt her forever until the day she dies.
