Following the death of his mother, Mathias Derune, a young French writer, learns from her will, that he inherited a house belonging to the family for generations, and located in the region of Transylvania. Intrigued but also eager to be able to make his mourn, Mathias goes to Transylvania to discover this mysterious heritage. But on his journey to the next small town, an accident occurs and Mathias is the only survivor of the bus. Wandering, wounded, through this mountainous and wild region, Mathias discovers a mysterious isolated village in the middle of the mountains, as well as a huge castle.
