When Harry Potter's parents were tragically ripped from him, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin wanted to take Harry in and raise him as their own. But Dumbledore told them that Harry would be the safest living with the Dursleys. Sirius and Remus knew that Harry would not be as loved as he should be in his new home. So, together, hand in hand, they approach the Dursleys. Dumbledore later explained why Harry had to live there but that never stopped Sirius and Remus. They became what they should be: Moomy and Dadfoot. Let's not even mention how the ruddy-faced, thick-necked Vernon Dursley reacted to his first encounter with the young couple.
