Surrounded by mountains, Valle is a city cut off from the rest of the world. Fueled by the freedom that comes with seclusion, its people have largely been left to their own devices- a place where humans have lived side-by-side with the mysterious- and powerful- spirits for generations. Fela has spent her entire life in Valle with no notion of her true lineage. Instead, she lives with her adopted mother and sister, using her spiritual powers to help out in the workshop. She may be different than her human family, but the Lodenstones are as close as anything. Still, when their tranquil little city is rocked by a natural disaster, human and spirit alike must deal with the aftermath, leaving Fela painfully aware of her differences. Suddenly, the very existence of spiritkind has now been put into jeapordy- including Fela. The Lodenstones must venture into an infected world- and face their history, to boot- for the sake of a single daughter... and for a solution to a quickly approaching catastrophe that will rock the world.

"I thought you were my person. I thought you were my true love. I opened my heart for you" She didn't want to cry. She didn't want to look weak before him. "Dharani..." "But you showed me. You proved me right. My heart is safer with me. It's safer in this wall of mine. And I thank you for that." She meant every word. Every single syllable. "I'm sorry." She heard the remorse in his voice. But a smile curved into her lips. Letting out a deep breath, she look into the dark chocolate eyes. How much they resembled a Devil's food cake. "No, I thank you." Her smile grew wider, the weight in her heart decreased. "Thank you so much, Ansh." She could have sworn that she saw tears well up in his tears. And it became clear to her. She would always love him. At least the beat organ in her chest will always belong to him. But she couldn't forgive him for all the pain he caused her. Not yet. WARNING!!!
