She soared effortlessly through the forsaken town of Zhiganshina, searching frantically. Wall Maria, once standing strong at 50 meters tall had become frail and conquered by the very thing it was made to protect us from. She landed on her feet propelling her body forward into a run towards Eren as fast as she could as Titans clawed at the wall from each side. They stood on top as the wall trembled, struggling to stand, to defend. "We need to distract them so that we can get to that basement" He said staring at where his house, their house, once stood. "This is it," She said, "The end", and with that... she jumped. All Mikasa ever wanted was to have Eren by her side, to keep him safe and live a quiet life, just the two of them. But, with the human race shrivelled and on the cusps of extinction, Mikasa uncovers more truths that will take her life, her very means of living, in a whole new direction. Will this get in the way of her dreams of a quiet life with Eren? "You shouldn't have done it. I never should have let you, how long are you going to keep doing this!" Fists clenched and tears falling down his cheeks, he looked down at the girl worth a hundred soldiers, battered and defeated. "For you," she smiled "A thousand times".

There he stood with tattered black wings, encompassed by molted feathers that scattered the plains like dewdrops on a blade of grass. Sedentary, never moving, he was a statue amongst the fluttering leaves and pastures in a world we dubbed, "Earth". Despair and loneliness enveloped him as if they were his only friends. His emotions had been cast away long before he stepped foot on Earth, his features forever embedded with murderous intent, sadistic pleasure, and a twisted grin that vocalized his passion for bloodshed. Lips stained and tainted with a familiar, crimson liquid, he reminisced of years forgotten, years wasted, and years regretted. The copper taste of blood washed over his system, yet none could ever compare to the delectable flavor that belonged to a beloved mortal. She, whose life fluid was the pinnacle of a succulent spread, the epitome of a perfect meal, was perhaps just a figment of his imagination now. Although, without her, he was nothing but a vessel void of a soul, a mere outcast living amidst human beings. Without her, he was a stone, perpetually sinking in the vast, undiscovered waters of the Pacific Ocean, nothing to secure him of ever witnessing the sun's dazzling rays in his eternal lifetime. Without her, he was deemed a psychopath, impatiently craving his prey with bated breath, when in actuality, all he wanted was to sink his teeth into her flesh once again.
