Second chances are meant to bring hope but aren't they also a reminder of everything we've lost? Brenna Hayes knows exactly what it's like to lose everything you love. Widowed and broken, a second chance knocks on her door when an old mentor offers her a job in the town she left all those years ago. But there's a reason she left and it's the same reason she dreads going back. With no other option, she packs her things and returns to her past only to discover she left more loose ends than she realized. Grant Carter is one of those loose ends. The boy who broke her heart so many years ago and, ironically, has become the man who fixes things for a living. He also happens to be the contractor for Brenna's new home and suddenly finds himself face-to-face with the only woman he's ever loved. And the only woman he ever let go. Now, he's determined not to let his second chance get away and show Brenna just how good he is at mending what's been broken. *Rated 18+ due to mature themes and language. It could have been simple. Childhood friends - First Crushes - Football - Laughter - Cuteness - Love. Maybe even happily ever after. But it is not simple, and Noah doesn't know why. All he knows is that Ethan suddenly ghosted him when they were thirteen. Cutting their story short at Football. Now, years later, the same game throws them back into each other's lives when Ethan suddenly transfers to Noah's school. What he doesn't know is that Ethan comes fighting an invisible battle for control that Noah can't begin to understand. He just feels frustrated that Ethan seems hell bent on keeping a solid wall between them. A wall that keeps cracking. And the question is, once it finally breaks, can they find their way back to the story they were meant to have? ___________ Completed 19 of February 2026

Warning: RWB spoilers ahead. Some say the best love stories often take time. Emery Chernychevsky has had a crush on Cameron Brooks since he can remember. Watching him date different girls all throughout high school was nothing if not pure torture, especially when he knew he didn't stand a chance against any of them. Safe to say, he spent his single years in a long-term ache he did not once divulge to anyone, but even that did not come close to the night Cameron confessed. The night Cameron confessed his undying love for someone else. Realizing that he was hopelessly and irretrievably in love with Cameron wasn't easy, and finding out that Cameron was hopelessly and irretrievably in love with his best friend was no picnic either. Things weren't certainly made better when their friends decided to spend the entire summer holed up together in Blake's summer house, putting Emery's initial plan of getting over Cameron before he starts college into a ten-week-long agonizing pause. Of course, be that as it may, fate has had a nick of testing Emery's patience... as it only gets a little worse━then, a little better━and right back to irremediable worst of worst from there. Spin-off to Rage With Benefits. Can be read as a stand-alone but a number of references will be made from the first book.
