One woman's guide to falling in love, getting fit and surviving the end of the world. Karla is busy running her own business, half-heartedly trying to lose her belly fat, and avoiding thinking about her single-status - she does not have time for civilisation to fall apart rn. But when the world as she knows it crumbles like a triple-choc cookie, Karla will have to embark on the trip of a lifetime to find safety. Traversing the vastness of the Australian east coast, Karla and her companions - a misfit band of workmates and one reasonably attractive stranger - will find adventure, love and a new dress size. Rom-com meets disaster movie meets extreme-makeover, this story is for anyone who needs the motivation of a planetary disaster to change their world.

Cruella de Vil might have been cruel, manipulative and ambitious to a fault. But she was also pretty, resourceful, straightforward and most importantly herself. After her release from jail, (if you remember) she finds herself changed slightly; slightly good, slightly kind. This doesn’t bother her as much as the fact that she’s losing herself in the whirlwind of life somewhere and she’s not sure how much she likes it. She’s trying to find the correct balance between being herself (Cruella) and being good (Annabel) which leads to a thorough study of her feminity.

The Diner has seen its fair share of the people of Midland, New York. There's Andrea, who doesn't quite know why she keeps coming back, save for the fact that it's the only place she doesn't feel constantly watched. There's Gregory, who people-watches, filling everyone around him with stories instead of filling himself with food. There's Milo, who often zones out as he waits on his patrons, dreaming of the day he can finally escape. And there's Monique, who simply likes the pancakes (and her waiter) a little too much.

"Go ahead," I said, backing up against the pink wall of the shop. "Do something other than glare at me." I waited. One, two, three seconds... and nothing. I raised my chin at him. "You're boring me, mute boy." He stepped closer. Leaned toward me as his gaze burned into mine. Then... ❀ ❀ ❀ After three months in juvenile detention, it's time for Romy Pereira to help out with her family's flower shop. And it's not all bad... until they hire Jack Michel to work beside her. He doesn't speak, communicating with glares and scowls instead of words, and seems to be more interested in literal rocks than other human beings. And with an ex-convict mother, her friends drifting away, and the flower shop falling apart, the last thing Romy wants to deal with is Jack's attitude. She'll forever praise the day he screws up big time and gets himself fired, but until that day comes, it's mostly one cold-hearted girl, her silent (but still infuriating) coworker, and a whole lot flowers. It had been forty-seven years since the change. Forty-seven years since the government decided to split their power between themselves and the one percenters, leaving no authority to the common people. It was a time of crisis and turmoil. The entire population was split into different groups that determined their overall social status. Everyday the world seemed to worsen. The year forty-seven was the beginning of a turning point, they all come together whilst tearing each other apart. And to make it all worse, Livia Contti is in the middle of it all. This story is currrently undergoing some intense editing, I would like it to be mediocre instead of subpar. For now, enjoy the story and tell me what you think :)
