Love: the condition of caring more about someone else’s happiness and well being more than your own. A condition. It makes it sound like a disease. . . and that’s just what it is. Falling in love is a weakness, a disease which causes you to put everything on the line, only to be hurt. Most people would call that opinion cynical. I call it realistic. I call it protecting myself. My name is Roman Delancey and I believe that irrevocable, undeniable, heart-wrenching love. . . is a load of complete bullshit.

Love: the condition of having enough money to buy someone’s feelings. It is the ability to portray one’s feelings through expensive extravagance, and won by the highest bidder. And, most of all, it is the most well-fabricated lie the humans on this planet have ever come up with. My name is Ellie Jenson, and I believe that love is nothing but pure bullshit.

Roman Delancey: the Boy at the Window.
Ellie Jenson: the Girl from America.
What happens when the two not only meet up, but end up living together while Ellie goes to school and Roman hides from the police? Will they be able to resist the very thing that they have named as a disease and a well-fabricated lie, or will they discover that the one true condition to love is that it doesn't care what you believe: it will hit you like a truck anyway.
