After eighteen they can start to find a mate. Shifters don't have one destined mate, but a small selection of other shifters they are compatible with, and from that group, they can choose their mate. Unwanted suitors line up at his door, a stubborn lion won't leave him alone at school, and he manages to catch the eyes of some poachers. One good thing did come from the move though: His mate... Despite the struggles of being a teenager and the woes of being a rare shifter Nobu finally believes he can be happy.
