When the survivors of the 53rd season of Danganronpa wake up to find that the game was all virtual reality, and that all of their friends are still alive, they all face many different challenges. For Shuichi Saihara, most of these challenges involve a certain Kokichi Ouma, who he finds lounging on the couch in the apartment they shared together before the game. Turns out their past selves were childhood friends who eventually fell in love and had been in a rather serious relationship before joining the game. Will Kokichi's lingering crush on the detective and their slowly returning memories of the past become the downfall of their newfound friendship, or will it spark something more? This fic was heavily inspired by the fic "Second Chances" on AO3 by Lethargic_Lilac. It's a really good read and I highly recommend it. I hope you'll all enjoy my own personal take on the idea.
