Y/n L/n has only ever known the world of fairies, though being an ice fairy has never made life easy. Others often assume ice fairies are cold or dangerous by nature, but Y/n has always been the opposite-controlled, thoughtful, and constantly trying to prove she is more than the stereotype placed on her. When she arrives at Alfea, a school shared between fairies and specialists, she finally hopes for a chance to start over: to master her powers, find her place, and exist without being constantly judged for what she is supposed to be.
But Alfea is anything but simple. As Burned Ones begin appearing more frequently beyond the school's borders, fear spreads through the students, and Y/n struggles to control her growing ice magic while also trying to hold onto her sense of self in a place that never stops watching her. And then there is Riven. Their past is complicated-messy, unfinished, and full of things neither of them ever properly said out loud. He pushes her away just as often as he pulls her back in, acting distant and sharp one moment, only to show flashes of something deeper the next. Despite everything between them, Y/n can't ignore that there is still something there, something neither time nor distance has erased. As danger grows and emotions become harder to bury, Y/n finds herself caught between learning who she is meant to be and trying to understand whether Riven is a part of that future-or the part of her past she can never quite let go.
