He wants nothing more than to destroy Nightmare for what "She" did to Max. For possibly knowing who killed his mother, Lady Indomitable. Even though Nova knows it'll never work, that she shouldn't develop actual feelings for him, she's basically fallen head over heels for Adrian. I don't know what takes place in the 3rd book, or even what it's called, as its not out yet. This is just a stipulation of what might happen.
