Jules moves with her grandparents and her twin Brother „Blayke" to Avonlea on a land, which was owned by their now dead parents. Jules and Blaykes grandparents surprise both of them by making it possible for them to finally go to school. They are quite happy about it and meet a lot of interesting people there, but after some time Jules falls in love with the boy she befriends there called „Gilbert".
