A series of events happen when an unsub takes a liking to Alexis, a case is brought to their attention and the unsub strikes. distracting the rest of the team, Alexis goes missing. The team begin the hunt of finding Alexis when they were given photos of Alexis being tied up, out of the whole team Emily was the one trying the hardest to find her. Once Alexis is safe, Emily realizes that the feelings she has isn't just friendly but Alexis had melted her cold heart. Alexis felt the same, she's realized it the moment they started growing closer that she didn't want to just be friends with Emily.

You and Emily met at the BAU when she transferred back from Interpol after Hotch had hired you a few months before. You fit right into the team when you joined, and naturally developed a great friendship with Emily when she returned too.
