He thought that it was over, that he was finally allowed to rest but just like so many things in life it proved to be a short-lived dream. Kakashi Hatake, Konoha's Silver Reaper, Clan heir of the Hatake Clan, youngest Commander in history and hailed as a once in a century prodigy as well as the Savior of Konohagakure had been dead for 13 years. After the boy had given his life at the age of thirteen in order to seal the Kyuubi no Youko and hence protect his village from total destruction, peace had started to come. Minato Namikaze, deeply affected by the sacrifice of his student, had made every effort to achieve peace so that no one else would have to get hurt. And for a while it looked as if his vision had become true. The Sand and the Rain had become their closest ally whereas the Rock, the Cloud and the Mist remained neutral towards the Leaf. It wasn't perfect but it was good. And during all of that Kakashi greatest wish had become true. He had been finally reunited with his students, his family. But what happens when an enemy rises again? One they had thought of being gone a long time ago? Decisions have to be made, morals have to be betrayed and old wounds have to be opened again. And perhaps Kakashi realises that he has a new dream. A new goal that he will give his everything. ATTENTION! This is a sequel to my other story Atonement! Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Gaara were 22 when they won the war. They were the only survivors out of the entire world. Guess it wasn't much of a victory after all. So, what do you do when you just won a war that killed everyone? You go back in time to when you were twelve. Duh. Isn't that what everyone does? I'm all for everyone stating their opinion on things, but don't call my writing dumb or something. If you don't like something I wrote don't insult it then leave. Someone once wrote something along the lines of that's not how they like it but it's a fanfic so they're not upset. That's ok. That's fine. The Fourth Hokage's body was never found, but they never suspected that was because he hadn't died. Minato Namikaze wakes up six years after the devastating Kyuubi attack, alone in an overgrown clearing with not a scratch on him. Disoriented and confused, he does exactly what any father would do in this situation. He fights through the pain, gets up, and goes to find his son. He trudges through the pounding in his head and forces himself to move-- to go and find him, because that masked man was still out there, and Minato is willing to do anything to protect his little ball of sunshine. Needless to say, the blonde kage wasn't expecting so much time to have passed. Nor is he very impressed with the way the village has been treating his son all these years.
