Zelda and Link have just defeated Calamity Ganon, the vicious monster who terrorized Hyrule for 100 years. The two heroes care deeply for the other, but are too afraid to share their feelings. They don't have time to wash up after the bloody battle, let alone hint at their feelings toward each other, before they are wisked away to a strange new world. Zelda doesn't believe in soulmates; Zelda barely even believes in herself. That is, until Link turns up with a sword strapped to his back, heralding the end of times. Now, they must work together to prevent the fall of Hyrule and rise of Calamity Ganon. But, the task proves as tricky as expected, especially when Zelda feels like she's falling faster than her Kingdom...and perhaps in a way she never expected to. Pre-game (and post-game, eventually) fic centred around Link's memories and what might've happened in between them.
