After the devastating loss of his mother, Lin Yue (Moon Forest) must leave behind the familiarity of his life in China and return to America to live with his father. It's not an unfamiliar world-his stepmother and stepsister have always been a part of his life, their bond kept alive through visits and shared memories. But this time, it's not just a visit. It's permanent. And no matter how well he knows them, the shift feels daunting.
Determined to make something of himself, Yue applies to college as a medical major, eager to focus on his studies and build his future. His stepsister, an architecture major, enrolls in the same university, and they decide to share an apartment-one small piece of stability in the middle of so much change. With a new school comes new friendships, new experiences, and, unfortunately, new annoyances.
Enter Jayden Smith. A math major with a sharp tongue and an even sharper mind, Jayden is the one person Yue cannot stand. And the feeling is mutual. Every interaction between them is laced with tension, every conversation a battle neither is willing to lose. Their rivalry is instant, stubborn, and seemingly unbreakable. But as time passes and life forces them into each other's orbit more often than either would like, Yue begins to question everything.
Is Jayden really just an enemy, or is there something more beneath their constant clashes? Can two people so determined to dislike each other fight fate forever?
