Wednesday Addams was known for her blunt honesty, her fascination with the morbid, and her unnerving comfort with all things dark and deadly. To most, she was pessimistic. To her, she was simply realistic. The world was cruel, death was inevitable, and happiness was an overrated distraction.
Y/n-El, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. A walking contradiction to the gothic gloom of Nevermore. Towering over most of his classmates, he was the largest student at the academy, yet somehow also the least intimidating. He tripped over his own feet, apologized to inanimate objects, and once managed to lose a duel with a broom closet.
But Wednesday Addams was not fooled by clumsiness or charm. She observed people the way scientists dissected specimens meticulously, and without emotion. And she had seen enough of Y/n-El to know that he wasn't what he appeared to be.
There was something buried beneath his quiet, fumbling exterior. Something powerful. Something he either didn't understand or was trying very hard to hide.
And for Wednesday, mysteries were far more enticing than monsters.
