Vance Hopper and Bruce Yamada had always been at odds with each other. They were complete opposites - where Bruce was a friendly well behaved kid and loved by most, Vance on the other hand was short tempered and loathed by almost everyone in town. Where Bruce loved the outdoors, Vance preferred to stay inside. Where Bruce was always joking around, Vance took everything seriously.
