The year is 2045 and a terrorist organization called 'Control' has bombed the United states. The US is in ruins and people on the streets are barely surviving with Control soldiers everywhere, ready to kill any remaining survivors. Lucille Kingsley, nicknamed Luce; is the fourteen year old daughter of a top secret Spy agency CEO and has been a trained fighting machine since she was four. Luce keeps her younger brother Nicolas, and herself safe from the soldiers on the destroyed streets of Portland, travelling from place to place, avoiding the soldiers and even crazed, starving cannibals. Then one night, Luce hears of a thing called 'The switch' while invading a Control headquarters base one night. Although initially unsure, Luce believes the switch is a device that when activated, could be a great advantage to the remaining allies around the world barely holding on. Luce decides to travel halfway across the world, into the heart of the Control territory deep in the middle east, to try and save the losing fight against the terrorists who managed to take down America. But even Luce has her limits and this may be a task too big for one young girl who doesn't even have the slightest clue as too what the switch actually does!

"Technically you apologized for two things." I said, not really sure how to respond. I held up two fingers to his face and he kissed them sweetly, making me blush pink. "Are you going to tell me?" He whispered. I gulped. Brain going fuzzy, heart beating eratically, breath labored. I was hopelessly lost in his eyes. Gosh since when did I become such a hopless romantic? "Trying to hurt people I care about don't make me want to forgive you." I responded softly, my eyes drifting to his lips. They quirked up into a half smirk and I quickly returned my eyes to his. My breath caught in my throat. They were full of lust and I was no longer sure if I would be able to resist. "You really want to kiss me right now don't you?"

Tatia, the originator of the Petrova Doppleganger, is nothing like anyone expected. Sure she looks like Elena and Katherine but instead of someone who is like Elena or Katherine, she is a party hard alcoholic who hates when reality digs its claws into her. No one knows that Tatia is alive, not even Esther, until Katherine finds her and warns her about Klaus becoming a hybrid. Pissed off that her drinking and partying days have to take a hold to handle this tiny little problem, she leaves her home in Los Angeles and heads to Mystic Falls where she'll meet the whole gang, reconnect with old friends, and old enemies, and learn how to become the person she used too be, who was certainly not a drunk partier. But what happens when Klaus discovers that Tatia is still alive, and certainly not the person he remembered?

"That's why you were scared wasn't it, angel?" "I will always be here for you, love. I won't let them hurt you again." He said softly. Usually I always found moments like this super cheesy in romance novels and movies, but living it for myself now, I found it incredibly touching and made my heart swell with love. I leaned up, pressing my lips against his, wrapping my arms around his shoulders to pull him closer to me. He responded almost instantly, tugging on my waist tighter so that we were pressed up to each other.

Seventeen year old Riddley has been training her entire life to be a vampire slayer-one problem-she's the clumsiest person on the entire planet. No matter how hard she tries, she can never be a good vampire slayer because of her inadvertent clumsiness. Rejected by her family of prestigious vampire slayers, Riddley can't help but feel like she'll never be accepted until she can overcome her clumsiness. However due to Riddley's lack of grace, intelligence, and friends, her family ships her off too St. Labelle Academy, a prestigious private school that her parents had to bribe Riddley's way into.Riddley had no hopes for this Academy, until that is she met Greysen Callahan. Riddley can instantly sense he's a powerful vampire and Riddley forms a plan; in order to prove her worth to her family, she decides she'll kill Greysen Callahan. One complication-Greysen refuses to see Riddley as a threat and constantly plays with her. Riddley's determined to prove her worth, but was trying to take down a vampire as powerful as Greysen really the best bet to go?
