Dustin and Max lose their mothers to Vecna at 14, Steve is only 18 but he takes them in and adopts them, since his parent's don't come around anymore after he turned 16 they live with him. Billy was able to survive but went into a coma and two years later wakes up, he went into a coma when Max was 12/13 and now she's 14/15 but his father left and Steve had taken her in. As time goes on Steve and Billy get closer till they finally get together near the age of 19 and become a happy family.
