Moonwatcher and Winter are living happily together in Sanctuary, the town that Winter helped Riptide build and populate with his scavenger sanctuary. One day, Qibli makes a deal that gives him a single animus spell in exchange for something that fits nicely with his own plan. Qibli was devastated, but pretended to be fine when Moon chose Winter. He swore he'd win her back, and this day he was going to hold up on that internal goal, and the NightWing with silver scales around her eyes was his prize. Only... this time, there wasn't going to be any competition for her. Winter was coming home one day, from his scavenger studies. Until on the way, he heard a rustling sound. Then someone spoke. And that was the last thing he heard before waking up in a cold and dark place, gagged and bound. And then Qibli took Moonwatcher, while Winter was gone. This is a short Winterwatcher story, and all the characters except for Mirage, Aurora, and Darkmist belong to Tui T. Sutherland. The others are my OC's. Hope you enjoy! :)
