Yugi, a young boy who was a servant for the royal family in Egypt, had stumbled upon the young prince with one of his teachers in the garden. Yugi was not allowed to befriend or speak with Atem unless asked or forced to. One day, Yugi was playing with some of the other servant kids until the young prince and his friend Mana were out in the field kicking some rocks. The young servant had not realized on how much he and the prince looked alike, the only 2 differences were that Yugi was way more paler and was not royal. Yugi had somehow gotten hurt, and this is where the relationship began. As his "friends" left him because they could not handle the crying, the caring prince and his friend rushed over to his aid. The servant just thought they'd help so none of their 'slaves' would be harmed and could continue working but that's not how Atem saw it. Later on things had happened to where the prince had ordered his father to keep Yugi in the palace, so the two grew up together until war began. For 3 years Atem had left.. Yugi hopes to see him soon someday.

Unfortunately it doesn't turn out as good as Yugi thought. Tea, a girl who had once been his best and oldest friend had rejected and humiliated him, was back asking for Yugi's heart. In the storm of drama have Yugi realized that asking Joey for advice maybe wasn't the best decision he's ever made, and Yami realizes that there's still a small part of his past that hasn't come out in the light. Never could the two soul partners guess that such a small gap in memory could bring one of them so close to the door, leading to Heaven. Something you should know: Yugi grandfather has died, making Yugi very depressed over the past ten months. Yami is doing everything he can to make Yugi smile but nothing seems to work. Yugi is not in the band, Yami is. The band isn't made in the first chapters, maybe the second or third chapter. The first chapter is going to be where everything starts to happen between everyone! In order to stop yami Bakura from returning and taking over the world with the power of the millennium items, the pharaoh must win the duel. That means he will be stuck in real world forever, but is that so bad when you have your other half beside you?

(After Season 5) Alternate ending. Instead of going to the afterlife, the pharaoh stayed. Even though Yugi won, Atem still stayed and he couldn't be any happier as he gets to stay and be with Yugi forever. Over their time together beforehand, Atem developed secret feelings for his aibou and secretly in return, so did Yugi. Now that they have ignited their relationship to the next level, a girl from the future comes to the past(present really) and is dead set on seeing an end to the two. Will they be able to save this corrupt soul? I just want to put a disclaimer for the mature rating. Mature because of slight violence, swearing, and slight sensual moments.
