Ranboo is a 18 year old boy. His family is extremely wealthy, I'm talking billions. Ranboo wasn't super snobby like the other rich kids, and convinced his dad to let him into public school. Tommy on the other hand was utterly poor. His mother had lost her job and his father left him. Tommy has done everything he can to help earn money but it's always such a small pay. That was until he approached the Nathanial's household, aka, Ranboo's house.

Tommy has been basically locked up in his house his entire life. No real schooling, and no outside world. As soon as he moved out, he had met up with people he really liked. Who will he meet? Tommyinnit and Tubbo have been best friends since they were little. Tommy values his and Tubbos friendship more then anything and feels rather hurt when being 'replaced' by a tall boy named Ranboo. Tubbo doesn't hang out with Tommy anymore as he's always busy with Ranboo. However Ranboo notices how Tubbos subconsciously pushes Tommy away and therefore goes out of his way to make Tommy feel loved and not alone. Tommy realises that Ranboo isn't actually as bad as he thought he was. This isn't platonic. I know that this may make some people uncomfortable which I completely understand. At first this was meant to be platonic but I accidentally turned it into not so platonic more romantic. I promise this was not intended however, you could still take this as platonic without reading some parts. (No smut don't ask for that's stuff here)

Ranboo came out to his parents as gay a while ago. They accepted him of course with open arms but they couldn't find him a worthy husband. The townsfolk couldn't be trusted considering so many of them were willing to fake their sexuality, and anything below middle class was considered unsuitable for royalty. Ranboos parents decided to bring their sons love life into their own political matters. So they took one of their enemy's child hostage and arrange their marriage.
