Standing there was a great black wolf. Little smaller than a warg. It's fur was darker than the night, it's eyes bluer than the sky. In short, it was... A beautiful creature. Gandalf's frown dissapeared "About time." He smiled...

The time has come. Erebor still lies within the Lonely Mountain, and Smaug has not been sighted for years. The regal line of Durin must reclaim their homeland once more. But, when Gandalf the Grey tasks Ravonna the White, the greatest sorceress of Middle Earth, to join the Company, she faces many great obstacles that she never wished to encounter again. Finding love with Thorin Oakenshield was never her plan, but that was not the only surprise her fate had in store. Darkness had once again found a way to creep into and to corrupt her heart, but will Ravonna be able to banish it? Will she be successful in saving the line of Durin- or will she fail? This is a Fanfiction following the adventures of Thorin Oakenshield in J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, the Hobbit. DISCLAIMERS: 1. I do not own any of the characters besides from Ravonna. Aside from the main storyline, any other scenes or events are my own. All other rights go to J. R. R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson for the original works, the movies and novel of the Hobbit. I also do not own this image, credits go to it's rightful owner. 2. There are TONS of mistakes and plot errors in this book. PLEASE keep in mind that I started and finished this when I was only ELEVEN YEARS OLD. Because this was the first thing I ever wrote, know that this is not a representation of my best work (if you do want to another Thorin fanfic from me, check out Rue, now online). I don't mind criticism, but please be patient and enjoy the story for the substance, not necessarily the accuracy :) Sending much love to all of my fellow Tolkienites and thank you for all of your support so far! I hope you enjoy this story!

Many Galadrim Elves say her name brings bad luck. Sweet Oblivion, a thing Lethia has often contemplated. Oblivion, Death, To end her mental torment. The scars on the outside stand as a stark reminder to her past, but no one can tell when the mental scars will heal. She is lost, living out her life in meaningless routine, trying to ignore the call of the blade that could end her troubles in one swift blow. Yet, one day, her life is changed when she is sent to Erebor to protect the royal family. They can see through her veil of normality, into the torment she hides from the world. With the dwarves at her side, maybe, just maybe, she can return from the brink... *I don't own any of the characters, locations etc. except Lethia and a few others. All credit goes to JRR Tolkien. Credit to Birina goes to @The_Hells_Angel ** Warning: this book does deal with some mature themes, such as self-harm and body image. I am sorry if this offends anyone, this story is not written to offend, it is purely part of the storyline. Feel free to message me if you have any concerns. *** This is based around before the dwarves lost Erebor, I can't guarantee that all the timelines will match though
