In this retelling of the In the Shadows questline, Anne's curse finds her at the worst time possible: in her prime. Ominis' life is swept into disarray when Sebastian hires a Curse-Breaker to help them find a cure for Anne's condition. As they continue to work together, Ominis' urge to throttle the new Curse-Breaker grows each day. To say their personalities clash would be an understatement. But as the four of them race against time, mysterious dark forces, and Anne's impending demise, Ominis finds himself struggling with feelings of helplessness-and rather unfortunate, completely unwarranted, and absolutely unwanted feelings of attraction. He can feel himself falling, and it's the worst possible time in the world for it. Or: A dark(er) twist on Anne's curse and Sebastian's questline, with a healthy dose of professional rivalry, unprofessional feelings, and completely-uncalled for sass.
