SEQUEL TO BLOOD MEMORIES. Highly recommended to read that one first. It's been ten years since the burning of the last elf, and nothing has been seen of him since. Ten years since the ancient prophecy was fulfilled. Ten years since the land of Elseer was restored to life. But rumours of an elf have begun to emerged, piquing interest and suspicion. If the rumours are to be believed, the elf did not die that fateful day, despite the eyewitness accounts of his burning. All rumours begin somewhere. The High Priestess of Elseer must answer the rumours, or risk losing that which she fought for, those ten long years ago. Last of Elves Book 2 Highest Ranking: #145 in Adventure! *This is only a very rough first draft.*

Lannasia Derouv, distinguished member of Elchwen's secretive Thieves' Guild, is commissioned to steal a prized artefact from the heavily fortified estate of Murswich. Her esteemed client is no other than the war general of her country and the High Lord of the North, Remus Kantillion, a man second in power only to her King. When a fire tears through the Northern Lord's campgrounds in the backyard of an ancient and treacherous forest, Lannasia flees with the glowing artefact Kantillion fervently desires-marking herself as a traitor to the North and a wanted criminal by the Crown. In her long and arduous journey travelling the old forest to escape to the Southern Province's capital city, Lannasia meets the kind and wise Alderyth, Master Conjurer of the Mages' Guild, and his arrogant, obnoxious apprentice Nox Artois. Although Nox is constantly bristling with every interaction between the young mage and the thief, Lannasia joins their company in hopes to discover a way to safely return to the Thieves' Guild and revoke the bounty on her head. Will she be able to rid herself of the stolen artefact and return to her life as Master Thief? Or is she bound to live out her life as a fugitive on the run from the second most powerful man in all of Elchwe? In a world shrouded by soot and smoke, young Makarria has literally been forbidden to dream... Legend has foretold the demise of Emperor Thedric Guderian at the hands of a sorceress with royal blood, and the Emperor has made it his legacy to stamp out all magic from the Sargothian Empire in favor of primitive coal fired smelters and steam powered machines. When Guderian's minions discover a Dreamwielder on a seaside farmstead, a chain of events forces Guderian's new threat-the young Makarria-to flee from her home and embark upon an epic journey where her path intertwines with that of Princess Taera, her headstrong brother, Prince Caile, and the northman Siegbjorn, who captains a night-flying airship. Dogging their every step is the part-wolf, part-raven sorcerer, Wulfram, and Emperor Guderian, himself, a man who has the ability to stint magic and a vision to create a world where the laws of nature are beholden to men and machines. Only by learning to control the power she wields can Makarria save her newfound companions and stop the Emperor from irreversibly exterminating both the magic in humans and their bond with nature.

Harriet has always been the type of girl who would rather ride horses than stitch embroidery, practice her sword-fighting than practice her curtsies, and she'd rather dream about being the first female knight in all of history instead of a docile wife on some nobleman's arm. When a war between the allies of Ecrivenia and the kingdom of Carigan starts to brew, Harriet begins to wonder if it might just be her chance to become the knight she's always wished to be. Taking a chance, Harriet enlists in the King's Army, disguising herself as the red-headed, slight-figured, and quick-witted boy, Harry. However, when she is put under the charge of the handsome and strict King of Marenta, Leopold, she realizes her troubles are just beginning. Not only will she have to keep the other men from noticing she is a woman, but she will also have to put up with the scrutiny of King Leopold, the best friend of her brother-in-law. Throw in grueling training sessions, whispers of treason, and the enemy's secret weapon, Harriet suddenly finds herself thrust into the reality of being a knight in a war that might not be able to be won. ------ This is a sister novel to the first draft of Glass Slippers.
