Jim Hopper's niece, Delilah Hopper, moved to Hawkins after her parents died in a fire. Delilah was sent to live with Hopper after the accident and she had trouble adjusting. She was childhood friends with the Byers. Until Nancy Wheeler brought her to a bonfire where she met the king of Hawkins High, Steve Harrington. The night Will Byers went missing was the night Delilah's life changed. She always thought about everyone other than herself. After Steve noticed Delilah's disinterest in him, he suddenly grew interested in her, changing the stubborn, emotionless girl.
